Get healthy for winter!

Warm snuggles on the couch and nights in with a hot chocolate and Netflix sound so tempting when the cold weather rolls in.

Unfortunately the reality of winter is less movement, more comfort food and a higher chance of getting sick!

If you’d like to take action now to stay healthy this winter we have rounded up some programs starting next week. There is something for everyone – mums-to-be, new mums, and mums looking for ideas to keep the whole family healthy.

Mums-to-be

FitRight Physio PregEd workshops

Starting Sat 19th May 2018.

FitRight offers a 3-hour pregnancy workshop that covers optimal and safe exercise in pregnancy, prevention of aches and pains and includes a real-time ultrasound assessment of your pelvic floor. The class is facilitated by physiotherapists and is a great starting point for mums-to-be wanting to exercise safely.

FitRight Bump & Me Fitness Classes

Starting Mon 21st May 2018.

60-minute pilates-style classes, run by a physiotherapist, these classes are a great way to connect with other mums-to-be while enjoying some exercise. The course runs for six weeks with one class a week. New venues have just opened in Armadale and Claremont – for a full list of locations and times CLICK HERE.

MumaBubs MumaBumps Fitness Classes

Come & join in on Saturday mornings at 9 am for a class designed specifically for expectant mums. Classes developed & run by a pregnancy and postnatal exercise specialist, with the focus specifically on keeping the pregnant body strong, healthy & energised, this is the perfect way to maintain your fitness during this special time of your life. Program endorsed by women’s health physios. Located in Carine.

New Mums

FitRight Baby & Me Fitness Classes

Starting Mon 21st May 2018.

60-minute pilates-style classes with a focus on postnatal recovery, run by a physiotherapist, these classes are a great way to connect with other mums while enjoying some exercise. Volunteers help to care for baby in the same room, allowing you to focus on maximising your workout and enjoying yourself. The course runs for six weeks with one class a week. Wellness Warrior Mums

Alchemy of Wellness Mum’s FREE 7-day Health Reboot

Mon 21st – 27th May 2018.

This program is an online event for busy mums who would like to reboot their health and get their bodies back in shape. It will be held inside a Facebook community group and includes:

A holistic health assessment (to measure your current health), information on how to prioritise your kids while maintaining optimal health for yourself, information on how to gain energy, create healthy meals, balance, time, weight loss, develop self-love and confidence, free resources for ongoing self-accountability, and health upgrade freebies, tools and resources!

The program will help you find self-love, body-love, confidence, happiness, time, and energy so you can feel great once again.

Our Happy Children with Kate Barnes Health Coaching

Starts Mon 21st May 2018.

This is a short course on gut health and immunity for children. For parents who are sick and tired of going from doctor to doctor, who are wanting to know exactly what works and who are ready to discover food and lifestyle choices that give foundations for wellbeing and to prevent illness. Both online and live options are available.
