Whether you’re a new mum looking for guidance and connection, OR a busy mum trying to find a way to prioritise your health & fitness in your full mum life, I can support you so you can thrive and live life feeling strong, energised and confident! (And maybe lose a few kilos along the way!)
I believe that the post-natal period does not end once your baby is no longer a newborn.
Issues with the pelvic floor, pelvic instability, weakness with your core and even finding the time to exercise with the extra demands of being a mum, do not go away after your 6-week post-natal check.
However, returning to exercise safely is crucial for your long-term health and well-being.
I am passionate about women exercising safely during the entire journey of becoming and being a mum. So much so that I work closely with Women’s Health Physiotherapists to ensure we know what is happening on the inside. We work together to look after your pelvic floor, assess for abdominal separation and re-train muscles that have most been affected by pregnancy, childbirth and caring for a young child.
And I understand that finding time to look after you is challenging, so we welcome your babies and young children at every session!
WHAT I OFFER
I support mums at all stages of their mum journey; whether you are just starting to consider having a little one, or your little people (or not so little people) are all at school and it’s time to re-focus on YOU!
I currently offer three (3) options to support you on your health & fitness journey; semi-private session memberships with a maximum of 3 women, personal coaching memberships and my new exclusive VIP health & fitness package inclusive of personal coaching and nutrition support, with all options providing a lifestyle focus to your journey.
WHY WORK WITH ME?
I hold a degree in Exercise and Sport Science completed at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia.
I am a pre and post-natal exercise specialist, with qualifications in Fundamental Mat Pilates and a specialisation in Pregnancy and Post-Natal Pilates.
I am a qualified Level 1 Female Health and Performance Coach, through the Female Health and Performance Coach Academy, and most recently I qualified as a Metafit Coach.
Finally, I am Registered Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia.
After my first child was born in 2012, I realised that I wanted to help other women also on this beautiful journey of becoming and being a mum.
And, in particular, I wanted to help them be energised, strong, fit and healthy, inside and out, at every stage. So, three years and another baby later, and with a little push from those closest to me, I finally took a leap of faith and turned my dream into reality, launching MumaBubs, Fitness Specialist For Mums, in 2015.
I am so proud of how many mums MumaBubs has supported on their individual journey since 2015.
In March 2021 MumaBubs officially evolved in Body Empowerment with Jody, and I am so excited to continue to
support women to not only return to exercise safely and effectively after having their children, but empower them to live a healthy, energised life on their terms, so they can thrive as the woman they are and the mother they have become.
